Class 4 have PE scheduled for Tuesday and swimming on Friday, so please make sure children have their P.E kits and their swimming kits in school.

We ask that every child reads for 10 minutes every night, preferably to an adult. We have a routine of the children handing their reading record books in every morning and as a class we read at least twice a day with a class novel.

This year, homework is given out on a Friday and ito be returned completed by the following Monday. Homework consists of spellings and timetables (which are tested on a Friday)

As part of becoming more responsible for their own learning, children in Class 4 will be encouraged to look after their belongings and prepare for school independently. This may mean making sure they have their reading book in their bag or making sure they have remembered to bring in their homework on time (Monday)I also ask that children read every night and record this in their reading records. This will help them a great deal with their writing in school.

"My Mum didn't give me my bag" will not be accepted as an excuse!

I hope all parents/guardians will support us in helping to develop this independence and responsibility within; our children.

Please see the long term plan below for Class 4.
