Home learning
This section provides support and advice for parents on home learning.
These are strange times for us all and home educating can seem a daunting task. Please don't worry about recreating the school environment and sticking to a rigid timetable. There is a huge amount of value in time with a parent, sharing a story or just having a chat about what you're watching on TV together. Take this extra time at home to enjoy activities together - even if they aren't Maths or English. Especially whilst the weather is so nice, go and find some interesting things to look at on your street or paint a picture outside.
Teachers will regularly post activities on Class Dojo and Showbie as suggestions to support you at home. There are also lots of activities online including regular classes which are listed below. Please also see a possible timetable should you want to keep some routine at home.
The DfE have also released a list of websites to support educating your children at home https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-online-education-resources/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-online-education-resources-for-home-education
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions about how to support your child or to share what you have been doing with them.
